My flight to BHX in a 737-300, took this video with my camphone of a major city beneath me, I didn't know which it was until I found it on Google Earth, it's Luton, you can clearly make out the distinguishing features of the airport, runway, and the whole city, and as the aeroplane banks, we flew directly above Harpenden, Batford and Kinsbourne Green, you can see the road leading back to Luton!!! Amazing!
You can see we bank to the north above Luton Airport airspace to go up toward BHX.

  • where were you flying then? heathrow?

  • from Schipol Airport to Birmingham. Strange route I know.

  • Ummm. Thanks dude/dudette!

The roundish blobs r small clouds, but some white bits are actually features on the ground, not sure what they are - do you have a chalk mine in Luton!? ;-)

Theres no need to be scared, flying on planes is statistically safer than travelling by car. Google for flight safety facts, there r loadsa sites about how safe it really is.
