Hey just a quick chat with enshadowed the Gm of GW2 guild Paradigm Shift about pvp, if you havnt seen any game footage or heard about the pvp in the game this will give you a basic idea of what it includes.

@Sevilou I can't find the source, but if I recall correct Guild Wars 1, had a very low usage per character, people are reporting about 50 mb internet useage after playing an entire day (this is ofcourse excluding downloading patches/map changes, ect). Now, what does this mean for GW2? Not only did Arena net build a new engine, they most likely even refined that netcode. THis is an mmo ofcourse, so they calc low internet in the equasion, I'm quite sure 2mb/s is plenty

@Sevilou Don't look at World of Warcraft, Wow is actually a very old engine (The warcraft III engine, heavily modified ofcourse) with a very sucky way of calculating player position. Its 2011, it is totally possible to do this with an average internet connection and a decent engine MADE to handle these things + do not forget the World vs world map is HUGE, not every one will be on the same location.
