  • I have fond memories of this one. Probably because it reminds me of the first last day of school I'd have with friends; or would remind me, some weeks after the tape was released. The VHS itself was released on Wednesday, April 24, 1996.

  • memories

  • I used to have the tape. O this takes me back.

  • SO GLAD I WAS BORN IN 1990. THE 90S WERE THE BEST!

  • wooooowwww this brings back sooo many memories !!!

  • Man, I wish my old Mitsubishi VCR didn't eat the tape. Good ol' mem'ries. I sure do miss the previews from the 90s.

Most animated films back then were drawn in fullscreen and intended to be shown in fullscreen where possible. However, some movie theaters were incapable of showing fullscreen movies, so most animated films from then, including The Aristocats, had some "extra" animation on the top and bottom so that even with a cropped widescreen image, you wouldn't miss too much important stuff.

  • I'm not sure about the disclaimer at 7:07. I thought The Aristocats was MADE in fullscreen, but INTENDED to be in widescreen.
