How did he win the Sixth Man Award if he's a starter?
-
@scatman813 more like 2005. 2005 he was their second leading scorer and leader in steals not only for the team, but in the league until 08
-
i m a sixth man but i m in my first season in my school basketball team

Ginobili should of won that award ever year since 2007. Borias diaw had to play high min to get to the award while Ginobili needs to only play 27 min a game. He averages about 28ppg when he plays huge min like Lebron and Kobe.

manu the best

WE NEEDED YOU THIS YEAR GINOBILI!!!!!!!! YES they did need you alot.

In 2005, the finals MVP should've been Ginobilli but they gave it to Duncan bc w/out Duncan they wouldn't even have been there. I admit Parker has gotten better lately but the French media was saying he was the best player in the NBA since he helped the Spurs in 2003. If Parker is so good why doesn't he lead France to an European championship or even qualify for the Olympics? Whereas Ginobili he's had success w/out Duncan in the Euro league and Olympics. Now Manu's getting old. You be the judge.

Ok, fair enough. I speak French and lived in France. It's so bullshit what the French media say. They always start off by saying "Tony Parker and his Spurs..bla bla." Spurs would be nothing w/ out him. Bullshit it's Duncan. Spurs would be a lottery team w/out Duncan. Duncan make everybody better. Manu Ginobili is a proven player on the European league. Parker is a parasite living off Duncan. Rings don't mean shit. And the Finals MVP was bullshit too. Parker is just a roleplayer.

I guess it is the opposite... because Parker is French, he got a lot of problems for recognization. I don't say that Parker is the #1 of the Spurs but when you see what this guy, 25yo, with 3 rings, 2 time allstar and one Finals MVP award, brought for the Spurs so far in these series against the Suns, you have to admit that he probably deserves more than being claimed #3 of the Spurs... Frankly speaking, I believe that Duncan is still the Franchise player, then TP and Manu (same position).

oberto should be the 1st option then duncan follwed by manu and parker
Ginobili is true class act who has no ego and does whatever is best for his team. This guy could start for just about every other team in the league and yet he doesn't complain one bit or make a big deal out of coming off the bench for Spurs.
Congrats to Manu. With his energy, competitive spirit, and fearlessness, the Spurs have a good shot at defending thier title.

I feel that you are wrong. Recently, it seems that Manu is the first option, and Tim is the second. Greg Pop stated in an interview that the reason for the spurs recent success is Manu Ginobili.
