Please show this to as many people as you can...family, friends, students, etc. This video gives us a reminder of the number of driving accidents that are alcohol related and the number of loved ones that are taken from us. This can be avoided!!! Don't drink and drive or let someone you know make the mistake of getting into a car after drinking. Don't be the one asking "What If...I had done something, as in the Sugarland song "Joey". On average someone is killed by a drunk driver every 45 minutes. In 2008, an estimated 11,773 people died in drunk driving related crashes—a decline of 9.8 percent from the 13,041 drunk driving related fatalities of 2007. It was an honor picturing the few I could who lost their life, and I only wish I could show all. Let's make a difference...don't drink and drive or allow someone to make that mistake.

  • I totally disagree with drunk driving, so don't take this statement wrong... But, this song is not about Joey being an "idiot" this song is about someone making an incorrectable mistake and her regretting that she didn't take action and change it.

Not that I don't agree with the motive, but the song is about her guilt for the drunk driver, not her guilt for the victim. So ... good video, but perhaps a bit of a mitmatched tune?

    (Commence the hatred towards me...now.)

  • @ChereneK Wow!! Thank you for your opinion and comments. As with every song it is up to how each individual interprets the song. I see it as a great song that shows someone making an incorrectable mistake and regretting that they didn't take action and change it. I think the "tune" works well as did many others. Thanks again for being one of the 45,000 views!!

  • Great video!!!!!!!!! I am a police officer in Canada. Do you mind if I show your video when I go do my talks at our local schools?

  • @benzmovie1 Please use the video at local schools. That was my hope when I made it to show it to as many as possible. You must have children as I do, and my #1 worry is their safety while in the car. Please stay in touch and let me know how it goes over with the students you show it to. Thanks!

  • i started bawling when i saw Nick Adenhart, i remember the last game i watched at the stadium he was in before the incident. i still cant believe it. and it sucks because at school all i hear is people getting excited to drink and joke around about driving and all that stuff. its sad how these people are so excited. its people like that who are such idiotic stupid shits, that drink and drive. cant they realize what it does..

  • @Samantha328328

This is exactly why I made the video. Many people don't think about the long term affects of their actions. It is nothing to joke or laugh about. Spread the word at school and have as many people watch it as you can. Thanks!

  • I still get the chills when I watch this. You did a great job putting this together. I have sent this out to some people as well as put it on my FB site. Thanks for posting.

  • I guess that drives the message home.

  • @JettaLee28

You should make a new one of these videos if you could with the people who've died recently, for instance my best friend James Henry who died in 2011 because of a drunk driver... I miss him so much and it would mean everything to me if somebody made a video with him in it.... I don't mean to bother you, I'm just saying...

  • James... I'm so sorry... I hope you can hear me... I miss you, and I'm so sorry... <3

  • @KellyHettwer Hi. I am SO sorry for your loss. I cant imagine going through that kind of pain. I shared this video on my facebook page in a hope that it will prevent even ONE person from driving drunk. My husbands a tow driver and has had to clean up from a DUI accident more times than he can remember and its not a pretty sight. I added on the share "that one decision to drink & drive can change someones life forever!" Its SO true!

  • @JettaLee28 Shared on my Facebook page. I cant imagine loosing a family member this way. :(

  • i started crying when the little boy said i miss u daddy i couldnt imagine lssing my dad

  • the one person who dislikes this obviously don't know what it feels like to lose somebody that they love and cant live without</3
