Why didn't white push pawn to C-5 early in the game, say at 2:30? Wouldn't that help cramp black's position?

c5 by White would release the tention in the center and White would not be attacking the central square d5 and does not have the option of taking the d pawn (a center pawn). Plus Black can attack the c5 pawn (if played) with b6.
