  • That is an awesome bike at an amazing weight! Seriously please tell me how it rides??

  • @livingstonest It rides well on the local cross country trail in Austin. I won't be able to provide a full report until I take it to Colorado this summer. I built it for downhill riding in Colorado.

  • ridiculously nice bike, how does she climb? also, how much do you weigh and does it bottom out at any huge drops? thanks

  • @Toxxic88 With the Hammerschmidt, it climbs relatively well, but the front shock doesn't have a lock out, so it can bog down on ledges. For extensive climbing, I would use a lighter shock. I plan on using it as more of a downhill/freeride rig. I weigh 135 lbs and I won't be able to report on the bottoming out until I get the bike to Colorado this summer.

  • Hallo Mrchillfy

What in front exactly? 180 Van? 180 air?

  • @patryka11 The front shock is a Fox 36 Talas 180 rc2

  • @andresbacano23 If you eliminate the Edge Carbon wheels and the Hammerschmidt front crank, it will come in under $6,000. The Edge Wheels are nice, but probably not worth the extra money in the end. The Hammerschmidt is about $700, and although fantastic, the stock 2 ring set-up is great. Also, I have the larger front fork, which is about $200 extra.

  • I'm planing to get the same bike but Damn $8g??? That's a lot of money for a bike I'm looking to spend $5g or $6 Gs

  • @KiaTia09 It weighs in at 28.5 lbs, which is amazing considering the long travel front shock.

  • @lexugax The total build was around $8,800. I know that is crazy and not really justifiable from any objective basis, but it is cheaper than a heroin habit. The wheels were around $2,800 off the total price.
