  • can i use a usb wireless internet card from verizon on a wyse model # vxo v10L and if so can you tell me how or if possible can you call me @ (956)246-6800 my name is Pablo please call me i need to know what i can do to make it work.

  • For V10L - the answer is "no". The Verizon card has a set of drivers that are required, and these would not be supported on WTOS.

If you have an XPe unit (V90, X90, etc), the answer is "yes", assuming you can install the Verizon drivers into the unit.

  • So is the os linux baced?

  • Thanks for the video, it was very helpful to me, I am trying to wrap my head around the thin client paradigm to get a VDI initiative going and this information gives me a head start with the V00LE sitting on my desk.

  • LeVilageKana,

This is documented full in the ThinOS admin guide. Which I think, is available from the Wyse Website, in the knowledgebase.

In DHCP, you need to use option tags 161 and 162 to tell the terminal where the FTP is.

161 - server address (use ip)

162 - option, locaton of the wnos.ini (if not used, the terminal looks to the default location of /inetpub/ftproot/wyse/wnos on the server specified in 162)

  • Thanks for the video, but can u really show us in a zoom, how to configure the HTML, the FTP, where we have to put the IP address for each one?

1-In the DHCP: where we have to put the address of the FTP server,

2-In the FTP: Where we have to put the address of the Citrix Presentation Server?

    Thanks

  • Hi Daz,

The terminals you mention are previous generation Wyse clients, of which I beleive, only the 1200LE unit runs ThinOS. The 3200 and 3235 units are Windows CE based, and I am not familiar with the 8235 unit so can't advise on that unit.

The replacement for the 1200le unit and current base ThinOS model (iirc) is the S10 unit, and its big brother, the V10L.

Both units could be used in the environment you mention, but the V10L is more powerfull, so probably best suited.

  • thanks wyse for the video really informative.

  • thanks wyse for the video really informative. i want to start with some low level thin clients like the WT1200LE, 3200LE, WT3235LE, WT8235LE. will these thin clients give the same performance using the WTOS as shown in the video. i want to use them in an internet cybercafe.

  • can I connect this thin to my home xp rdp? or i need server 2003 with dhcp and so.? thanks
