He never seeks to overawe his listener by flashy, extravagant displays of technicque but rather he seeks constantly to tell a story through the medium of his instrument. Every musicial road he travels is enriched by his sense of harmonic exploration. His time is simply glorious and his interpretations of jazz standards are never less than hugely satisfying. This is a trio worthy of greater attention and acclamation, and long may they continue to deliver music of such wonderful quality.
