But I get the point

Stop with the pictures that have nothing to do with foreign maintenance like the speed bird 777 that was design flaw

@murcroadster They care about us more so we care about the packages more. At ups they treat you like shit so you do just enough work to get by. My coworkers would go as far as to smash boxes on purpose in phoenix for no reason. When asked why they would say why not. Stealing phones, breaking packages and their contents, and working in a 135 + degree trailer without letting us get water is bullshit. Trust me ship with fedex. Packages are automatically insured for 100 bucks.

@Deltapilot96 I work for FedEx and they do not send their planes out of country for repairs. As far as the other aspects, management and the higher ups cut their pay to keep our pay the same during the recession. My managers pay was cut 10% but they could afford it before. We didn't get any raises that year but we didn't get laid off. We did however, get a price hike on health insurance this year if you are not single. Ive worked for both companies and can say that fedex is better

oh just go and eat shit. Sam Peterson rules!!

Why does this video promote FedEx when they are non-union and hire illegals to deliver packages??? UPS is way more American then FedEx! FedEx only cares about the bottom line by hiring illegals and firing Americans. Check your facts!
PS - the crash in the middle east was terrorism, eventhough the gov't won't admit it since they don't want to scare the public.

I will make my decision after you made a video showing the negative parts of FedEx.

The reason why they spent the money repairing the MD-11 is because they're not easy to replace,since the last MD-11s were built in 2000(and FedEx usually tries to call dibs on them) . Obviously,the damage was minimal enough so as to not declare the aircraft a write-off.
Must've been fun for you Pete! Thanks for watching. :)

I'm curious as to what some of the aircraft in this video have to do with outsourcing aircraft maintenance? The American Airlines Boeing 767 in this vid was at LAX doing an engine run-up when the HPT in the port engine let go,sending shrapnel into the fuselage and wing(the aircraft has since been written off and scrapped). The British Airways Boeing 777 crash landed at LHR because fuel contamination (possibly by ice)caused both engines to shutdown while the aircraft was on final approach.

@mjd4277
Obviously, the aircraft pictured in the video are reference only. Nice to see someone that has done their homework. Are you working for the NTSB? or are you another foreign MRO employee defending your "rights"?

@Cliffrj3
Actually I'm a cargo agent for American Airlines based at BOS. I also worked a stint for UPS here doing package handling and load planning for some of the flights(they believe in multi-tasking here),but I'm also considering going for my PPL and going for a ATP license as well. It just seems that this video is beating a dead horse, or so to speak because airlines have been outsouricing aircraft MRO for DECADES now,so this isn't new.

@mjd4277
Well call it as you will...I'll beat the hell out of a dead horse anytime if it potentially saves or could save someone's life. Your information on airlines outsourcing MRO work for decades is true, and this is an informational video for that purpose. However, more airlines are pulling more of the MRO work back "in house" or only outsourcing it domestically now as the track record for foreign facilities has proven itself over the years.
