My grand father was a hellcat gunner and we went someplace i cant remember but he got to ride in the hellcat he served in and that brought tears to his eyes when he got to ride it again

Respond to this video...I have great respect for the men that fought in these machines, I have been in and on this M18 many times and have nothing but respect for brave men like your Granddad.

My Dad was a tank commanderfor the 824th TD battalion, and he was part of Operation Dragoon. He lived on this tank till the end of the war (late 1944 - to May 1945)...This video gives me a sense of what it was like on this "beast"! Thanks!
