I think the song in the abckground made a sad scene even more sad. All Malone wanted to do was his job, and stay alive. though lucikly Ness killed the man who killed him Frank Nitti, though in relaity the inspiration to malone did not die, and frank nitti commited suicide.

The name of the song is I Pagliacci (the Clowns) Sang by the late great Mr. Mario Del Monaco. Rest in Peace, a performance in the movie that was outstanding made Capone shed a tear.
