Why would anyone even go to a $50 per plate restaurant and order meat/fish well done, wouldn't that defeat the purpose and only make the meat comparable to Sizzler?

@TheHantuDemon mmmm, rare, even blue rare, is omg so delicious. I want a steak now.

All about rare for me. Hell, I'd just go and take a bite out of a cow! But really, it tastes so much better, and the whole thing about how it 'looks' like meat, with the pink/red juice. That's because it is meat! It is the awesomely delicious and tender flesh of a fellow mammal, and that's just how I like it.

working in a high end steakhouse for ten years, you realize that people are paying for what they want, and...they tip according to service. maybe if you didnt stereotype, and justly and unconsciousluy gave bad service, your tip would be better on a well done steak. furthermore, if MR is a warm red center, what is in between that and a hot pink center, which is a medium..? there is no wonder youve worked at all the restaurants you have, and i can proudly count 3 on my 15 yr culinary career...

Medium is how I have always had my steak. To be honest, it's because that's how my parents ordered it for me when I was a kid. My mother was too afraid of me eating rare like my father, or medium rare like her. However, after seeing this video. I now know what is the best option for optimum taste. I'll be sure to try it Mr. Waiter-Man!

I never understood getting a steak well done. All the flavor is gone, you might as well eat a burger for cheaper! Nothing beats savoring a juicy rare steak with a glass of red wine, warm as it is supposed to be. Cannot believe that people will put ice in it.

i used to always get everything well done bc i didnt eat red meat for years & i was really scared of seeing any red! i remember working at a restaurant & ordering a burger well done. the chef goes "really? why dont u just get a hockey puck??" lol. after that i started getting medium well to have some tenderness & flavor. if im getting small amounts of steak medallions or steak on a skewer ill get medium.

I will always order my entree as the chef prepares it, but in my restaurant there is no in-between. Mid-rare is a mid-rare... not a rare to mid rare or a mid-rare to medium... I think I could prepare a 30$ steak between those regions but evidently the BOH cannot!

Meat with blood oozing out is nasty. I don't want the pink showing, either. In fact, the entire idea of it is pretty off putting. I don't think I want to actually put that in my mouth and chew on it. YUCK!

Haha, a lot of my family, aunts and uncles, prefer their meat well done. I once ordered some steak at a restaurant and every time I took a bite, my aunt would go "Mooo!"
The only thing worse than hearing a customer ask for their steak well done, is when they as for a side of ketchup too.

Fuck you and your "in between temps"! :)) I hate that!! I know it can be done but im sick of people who can't commit to a damn plate of food! Iced tea and lemonade, diet coke with a splash of coke, half white half brown rice, "could I have 1 egg over easy and 1 scrambled?" half-caf half decaf, no, no, no!! Rare, mid-rare, medium, mid-well and well! That's it!! Oh, love the videos, btw. :)
