Visual artist Marie Mellott created this video piece for projection or installation based on a traumatic experience. In 2003 her husband, composer Yehuda Yannay, lost his speech temporarily as a result of a grave medical condition.
From his hospital bed he could only communicate with hand gestures. The shadowy figure interspersed with images represents the spirit of hope and that Marie envisioned during those harrowing times.
