  • How is it powered, batteries or a AC Charge Adapter?

  • None of our technology is electronic @Sille8822, it's all mechanical.

  • stuntjumer....for trails w0+0t

  • yeah

  • does any one know what size axle it takes? because it looks brill

  • Oh and I love my specialized, the brain is awesome, and the bike is sweet. I have a stumpy pro carbon with spinergy xyclone disc wheelset and a noir crankset. These 2 upgrades made a world of difference, and the spinergy wheelset has oversized end caps like the original speci ones. Also, if you xt pulleys are binding up the sealed bearing ones they sell on febay are sweeeet. Specialized should open up with their service manuals every other company has, just DON'T open up the brain use yours

  • @treelishan according to specialized these shock are supposed to be serviced every 50 hours of riding. I've ended up doing it myself on both the front and rear shocks, but I was just questioning the negative air adjustment in the fork. To me, when a customer who lives in CT calls specialized and tells the person my shop will only send them to specialized for any service, (not just a cartridge service) they should provide that person with the service manual. Another way for them to make more $

  • Why does specialized keep the service manuals away from their consumers? My bike shop wont service the lower legs. I'm not about to send it to california every 2 to 3 weeks. I'm more than capable of servicing them myself though the forks have a internally adjustable negative spring. Something I'm unfamiliar with, yet even if you call them and ask for a manual and tell them your situation I'm still forced to have to send it to Cali. Think this over hard before deciding on your purchase.

  • no way, piece of metal can't cost so much. stupid engineers spent a lot of time and want me to pay for their wasted time, ha ha, look for rich idiots.

  • I've just bought a Stumpy Elite 2011 just to have the Brain and I have to say it's really not a big deal, the shock is always too firm or too soft, they should have left the thing to the Epic line where you'd better keep it fully firm.

As a matter of fact both the Stumpy EVO or the Enduro( 2 seriously ass kicking bikes) don't come with this valve. I love the Brain anyway,it's one cool conversation piece. I hope it will keep up,I've heard about too many failures...

  • What trail is that?

  • Its amazing how seemless the brain moves from stiff to fully active with the new fox made brain. The new brain actually works. Bravo specialized you finally perfected the brain technology or should i say fox did.
