DUBAI

I just composed and posted a new techno tune inspired by the city of Dubai one of seven emirates that constitute United Arab Emirates. As amazing as it may seem Dubai in just 15 short years went from baron desert land into a mighty modern megalopolis. It is quickly becoming the jewel of the middle east. The city is like something straight out of the movie "Future World" with it's underwater hotels, indoor ski hills, man made islands and the new Dubai tower which when completed will reach an unprecedented height of 2,600 feet into the heavens making it by far the tallest self standing structure ever built.

I lived in Dubai. It is the most hypocritical place on the planet. Hookers everywhere, rich Arabs taking drugs, an economy based on slave labour. And not to mention the WORST type of Westerners you'll ever meet. The only redeeming features are the hard working Lebanese and the Filipinos. my favorite city in the middle east is Jerusalem, second but thats more north Africa Alexandria, third is Tyrus in modern Lebanon, once known as Ka'naán or Phoenicia, a lot of old European culture spread out via there, and fourth is Constantinople or Istanbul, Bagdad and Irak shure would be nice, its the cradle of civilyzation, if Atlantis before the fifth polar shift wasnt, but to bad its being ripped appart by people who are only intrested in power, money and destroying

Wow Dubai is a well designed city. I am from Beirut ,lebanon and do not agree that Dubai is the Best city in the Middleast. There is a lot of history and culture that have been prominent in middleastern cities and Dubai is only the tip of that design and Islamic archatecture today. My favorite middleastern city; that promotes diversity and a different feel for where you go is, Beirut,Dubai,tel aviv,Damascus,Doha,Istanbul ,bagdad, amongst others. If you think at all that america will ot prevail once again at being having the tallest biulding in the world. Then think again. I work for engineering development firm. And their plans in the next 20 to build some structures in america that will be amazingly tall. I personaly working on a project that is under proposed develpoment in the east coast. The structure is going to be in the area of 2750 feet,225 floors,Little over a half a mile tall.
