You can put scotch tape over the edge of blades to keep them from cutting you while you work. Then you wouldn't have to dull it. It pulls off easily and doesn't leave residue.
@SrJoben That is a good tip, and I usually do that. I actually tried to tumble the blade to give it a "stone washed" finish, but it wasn't working the way I wanted. I knew I would have to resharpen it, but banging around in a solution of river rocks only knocked the edge off and didn't give me the look I was looking for.
Very unique looking. That look seems to go well with the name of the knife to me for some reason. Nice.
