Our PhD candidate Elsayed Ali was in the first cohort to hold a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship. Ali is a student with the Carleton Laboratory for Radiotherapy Physics and he does his medical physics research at two locations: on campus and at NRC Ionizing Radiation Standards. A portrait of Ali working at NRC is featured in a 2.5 min video produced by the Vanier Program to promote and publicize the scholarship. Also shown working on the NRC research linac is Malcolm McEwen, Adjunct Professor of Physics and the Director of OMPI.
