oh yes the trusty old 5d, why some people wants to sell their 5d when the 5d m2 came out? in my opinion i wouldnt coz for me old 5d still on the top of its game even if i buy the 5d m2 i wont sell it.

I think what Tom meant was that it wasn't his kind of range for his photos.
17-40 fits in all Canon DSLR cameras. It's the EF-S lenses which won't work on it.
