This to me is the greatest western ever made. Sergio Leone heloed put Clint Eastwood on the map and made him and international star. In this western unlike others it dealt w/the end of the violent and lawless west. Entering into the equation was the railroad. How it helped transform the west by the mass migration of people venturing into the new frontier. The story starts with a duel at a train station and ends w/one. The men die,the hero leaves, a woman stands alone w/her station and new life.
