It's also nice to see someone who's done good work not wrapping themselves in false modesty. More of that Bea Arthur honesty!

Surprised what Bea said about Esther Rolle, they seem to be having a good time when you see them togethor.
I know Esther had a few disagreements on Good Times with the production crew on JJ,i love the character of Florida.

I don't think Bea was speaking ill of Esther. I think she was just saying that she believed Esther to be more of a serious or dramatic actress as oppose to a comedian. They were both on the RuPaul show before Esther died and they seemed like they really liked one another.

I really enjoyed this interview. I adore Bea Arthur's honesty.

Sometimes I get a feeling that when some other actors/actresses are commenting on their co-stars or whatever, there is an underlying sense of falsness about them, but it seemed to me that Bea's comments concerning her co-stars was nothing but the honest truth.

In fact the entire interview seemed that way to me which I think is just *so* refreshing and ever so lovely to hear.

Thanks for posting this. Muchly appreciated indeed. :-)
