Just started another Bug Out Bag and survival stick. The bag is a working progress and should be updated all the time. Check out my book The Urban Survivalist Handbook available at Amazon.com.

  • love the videos but who is doing the whispering in the videos kinda freaked me out at first lol

  • @bobrt28 my 5 year old is my camera man. for 5 he does a good job

  • Thumbs up

Very good idea to put a box in the bag. Keeps everything nice and tidy so that when you practice with your kit you will find everything EASILY even in the dark and under stress.

As for the stick: while I find the idea appealing I want to ask: is it actually sturdy enough to serve as a walking stick? If so is there a trick to the making of it, or will plain pvc vement and the right connectors do the trick?

    With best regards

    silk

    ;-))

  • @blacksilkblacksilk For the walking stick to be strong enough you have to use two 2 foot section of 1 1/2 pvc I use a coupling in the middle and found this to be the stongest of all my attempts. also i have played with placing a metel brace to give it more stablity but found that just the pvc is strong enough to hold my weight of 170 lbs. i have used it with the saw and other gadgets with no fail. also putting the no residue duct tape on the outside made it a lot stronger.

  • love the walking stick!! Is it just PVC? and did you paint that? Great thx and blessings.

  • @BlackFencePatriot No I didn't paint the stick I used digital camo duct tape that way if i need more duct tape i can pill it off of the 1" 1/2 PVC and use it. One tip buy the no residue tape and it can be pilled off and reused in a pinch. Thanks for viewing.

  • Very nice Shane. I like the idea of the organizational box for a car setup. The walking stick is a nice little set up as well. As I watched this.. I do recognize you from downtown...LOL.. Be safe out there and thanks for sharing!

  • I like to walking stick, thats a pretty good idea. Your backyard looks like a typical AZ yard. Almost exactly like mine. Tucson represent.

  • excellent stick, great idea ,also the duct tape reinforces the strength of the pvc. i think the bag needs a little more thought but it is still a great common mans kit. keep up the good work.
