Daniel presents the in-house Testing Facilities at ebm-papst A&NZ in Laverton North.

The test rig is used to determine the performance of a fan in a customer designed application. The test rig is used to develop innovative power-saving solutions.

In the video, a EC backward curved centrifugal fan is mounted on to the test rig and deals as an example for the testing of wall mountable fans. The test rig also allows for testing of inline duct fans and roof mounted fans.

To determine the performance of a fan, we need to know about the airflow at a specific static pressure, which can be measured by the test rig.

Along with performance testing the facilities are equipped with a power analyser and a sound measuring device. This makes it possible for us to record sound emissions at a location of our choice.

The Testing Facilities enable us to help you understand how your current product is behaving. We can assist in developing product solutions with higher performance, higher energy efficiency and better sound profiles.
