This is just a quick video showing the first flights (well, hovers LoL) of my new Quad that I put together specifically to take to SEFF this year.
This thing is VERY small. The motors (370's) are spaced apart only 13.5"! It is so small, in fact, that it fits (without props) in one of my larger transmitter cases! With a little fiddling with the P.I.D. settings I should be able to get this to fly hands-off. :)
Stuff Used On This Project:
Airframe built from 1/8" Lite Ply (12 x 24 - 1 sheet)
Pool Noodle "Legs"
ExceedRC Alpha Series 370's
GWS 8040 3-Blade Props
Volcano 18 amp ESC's
3s2200 LiPo Battery
3 amp Power Up BEC
QSC MultiCopter Flight Stabilization System (Wii-based)
Very nice, I hope to see some more on this topic. Is the feeling of flying the quad similar to that of flying a heli?

@marhar2 It is quite similar to a heli. I'm sure we'll be talking about this multi-rotor stuff for a while - it's all the rage!

Nice small quad setup. Do you have a parts list for what your using on this - motors, esc, props?
Gotta love where RC is going with all these multi-rotor devices and open source hardware and software. I'm still using my Gaui 330X but plan to build a custom quad based on wiicopter platform soon. Also started learning the Arduino platform basics as well outside of the RC use. Very interesting platform and simple and easy to get into and learn.

@schooner2000 I just added a list of the electronics used in this project to the description.
