@dshupac It wasn't proved useless either. During it's deployment in Iraq, yes, some were disabled by HMG's and such, but that just proves that the Abrams had some issues that needed to be fixed. It also can take Sabot and Heat without being disabled as well. I'm not american. I'm Canadian. Crewed a Leopard 2a6m. And seeing that you are most likely russian, I'm guessing you've bought into the T72 mark 2- I mean T90 is an invincible missile firing beast hype?

@dshupac Not really. Not many other countries use M1s except Egypt I believe. Look. Merkava's, and Leopards are great tanks, but they are not in the same class as M1's and Challengers. The original M1's had its faults, but the A2 and SEPS model's are bringing its survivability up. You want proof of its usefulness against other tanks and machineguns? Check out Desert Storm, ya know? The gulf war?

@wowgamer14 : Yeah of course they fit the doctrine of the country using it. I don't know if the Leclerc is more offensive or defensive. But I may know one day, though. If my studies don't lead me anywhere I might join the army and more especially the armored cavalry. :)

@oOCrossroadsOo I think some are focus on the different ways the countries operates,defensive or offensive. the abrams is more offensive then defensive, but yea they are generally equal.

@wowgamer14 Oh ok that makes sense. Anyway do you really think any of the MBTs the western countries have is superior to another ? I don't think so, and the question should not even be asked because we're allies anyway. The Abrams will never shoot any Frenchie tank... unless the guys inside are not French. :)

@oOCrossroadsOo Dont get me wrong but the abrams is well armored all around but the front is the thickest and the left has to have thicker because of the ammo stored int he hull
