Bethlehem 3rd Alarm Multi-Dwelling

In the morning hours of May 8th 2009 Bethlehem 911 dispatched BFD units to the 400 Blk of Carlton st for the structure fire. Upon arrival of firefighters they found the first floors of two homes well involved and struck the second alarm. Members of the BFD made an aggressive attack putting on a good knockdown of the initial fire. While first in crews where in rehab and other crews prepared to go in for overhaul fire erupted on the second floor and and vented out the windows this along with the warm weer brought out the third alarm assignment. The additional fire was also quickly extinguished. One firefighter was taken to the hospital with an ankle injury and several civilians where treated at the scene for inhaling smoke, the fired was deemed to have started from a discarded cigarette.

If your under 18 go to your county fire departments website and look for "Fire Explorers" thats what Im doing right now, if your over the age of 18 you can chase fires or sign up for rookie school and go on a path to your career, good luck, message me if you need any help! Now i wasnt at the last couple of major fires in bethlehem but it seems they always knock a fire partialy down and it seems to rekindle or not actualy be fully put out the first time... maybe they could learn a thing or two from AFD.
