startup of SONY Vaio VPCSB1V9E/B - total crap

simple comparsion of speed of two computers. The latest model of Sony notebook vs. old Compaq desktop.

Vaio config:
- Intel SandyBridge i5-2410M (2,3 GHz nominal, 2.9GHz turbo)
- 4GB DDR3 Ram
- 500GB HDD Hitachi (5400rpm, SATA2)
- Windows 7 Professional 64b in factory configuration

Compaq config
- Intel Pentium 4 HT, 3GHz
- 1.5GB DDR2 Ram
- 80GB Seagate ( 5400rpm SATA1)
- Windows 7 Professional 32b

Both computers have the same internet shortcut in startup, both are connected to the same network. This video not only shows legendary Sony crappy software installations, it's about SONY engineers absolute incompetency. It also shows, that bad design could kill any hardware - the same behavior is with clean installation (in fact, it's even worse).

In other more synthetic tests, this notebook is slightly faster tha old IBM R50e (Pentium M 1,5GHz, 1GB Ram, 40GB IDE). We have tested three different pieces of the same configuration, so it's not one faulty piece...

Man ! This is crazy slow ! But I never would buy anything from Sony. Only HP Elitebook, Dell Precision/lattitude or Lenovo T series.

@mwiktorow26 I'm currently fully satisfied with Lenovo X220 - it's cheaper, filled with better technology, stable, does not overheat, isn't noisy...only positives about X220 :-)

@cedzcs yes, it is. completely new, with sandy bridge. fresh, untouched factory installation. it's incredibly slow....

if you think that it will be better after windows reinstall without sony SW rubbish - it won't. It's the same. the only difference is that half of functions does not work withou sony support utilities - and they are not downloadable separately...

My is crap as well, i restored it, and now I cant even turn it on.. It says reinstall windows.... Safe mode same shit.. Cant even return it and get my money back... 1500 euro thrown away
