Rae, thank you for being so candid. Much love from Canada to you. Yes, it's really a media attitude towards the 'ideal thin woman' that drives and informs men AND women what we should strive for. The media body ideal hurts men and women and young children. I'm happy to hear you don't hate women who are thin. My couz has PCOS and I totally understand what happens when you have that. I applaud your vlog b/c it's honest and your goal is health.

I also have back problems and I find that swimming really helps. Not only is it great exercise but, it's no impact. In fact, I find my back hurts less after I've gone for a swim. I've been going twice a week for an hour each time for the last 14 weeks. Not only have I lost weight but my back pain has decrease dramatically. I encourage you give it a try. It might work for you.
so how much have you lost so far

My best friend is extremely overweight. She confided in me that the reason why she's heavy was due to wanting to 'protect' herself with her weight. Is this something you also struggle with? Also, do you hate thin women? And before everyone has a hissy fit, I'm just the kind of person who will ask honestly. Congrats on meeting your goals.

Feel free to ask away! No I have never wanted to hide or protect myself with weight. I've always hated the weight. I have a medical condition called PCOS which makes it EXTREMELY hard to lose weight and super easy to gain in... so that has really been a hinder. I do not hate thin winner what so ever. I hate society/men's attitudes and opinions that thin women are the only way to go and that everyone should be 120lbs or what not. Some people will never be tiny thin but they can/should be healthy!
