A fast look at Santiago de Chile, as it looked in the year 2006. Before the "Transantiago". Driving along a few of the major avenues of the city. Do you recognize any place??

  • muy lindo video se parese a la suisse pero esta mejor chile la suisse ya esta callendo de categoria aca en europa esta callendo poco a poco

  • @betaniaov nope, you won't notice any difference... some new skyscrapers are new since this video. One is 202 meters, the other 300meters (under construction) which you both would see @ 3:56 now

  • the city hasnt changed anything after the earthwake, it didnt destroyed any buildings..

  • the city hasn't changed anything after de earthwake... ¿?¿

  • because some people asked:

what you currently see in the video is

    from "Santiago Centro" to "Providencia"

accomodated boroughs of Santiago are : La Dehesa, Lo Barnachea, Alto Las Condes, Vitacura and parts of La Reina, Providencia, Ñuñoa and Macul.

Places you should rather not go: Cerro Navia and Lo Espejo.

  • @scarletjamable earthquakes ocurr in Santiago too, but the city and buildings are quite adjusted to that... I visited Santiago last year couple of months after the big 8.8 earthquake... and I even TRIED HARD to find any signs and traces of that earthquake, and only found one: a very old church lost it's top, and there was a provisional thingy on top still. If you wouldn't know about the earthquake via media, you would never think they just have such a recent catastrophe behind them.
