my shepherds pie is pretty simple...
instant mashed potatoes layer
then sweet peas on top
then fried ground beef
then shredded monterey cheese
so yummy!

imma do this on sunday with ground lamb for an authentic shepherds pie

I haven't seen one recipe that includes both lamb and ground beef. Think I'll try that. I'll call it Shepherd's Cottage Pie!

my family always cooks this with the potatoes on the bottom, hamburger meat in the middle and cream corn on the top. To each their own I guess hah

I've never had it with ground beef but I will surely try you recipe!! It's really good with ground chicken as well. :0) We also call it Shepherd's pie in Canada.
