@MrOutdoorShaun that was so long ago i have caribeners now =P and they are good enough to snatch my atvs around too.

@slapoutz be careful that is not true in all situation bow or 'D' shackles are rated differently to caribeners one is rated by dead weight in kg or ton ect and the other by force in kn for about $10 is it worth the risk.

i am going to use a d shackle instead of caribener, since i have everything for cars but not climbing lol. nice guide on instructionables. oh and if your wondering a d shakle is used for vehicle recvery so it will hold you up better than a caribeaner.
