@aidans29 Islington was a breeders cup winner, Moon ballad a Dubai world cup winner, even Vintage Tipple was a class horse, Group winner, saw her a few times running. Definitely one of the highest class fields of all time. only hes second run after injury too.

@aidans29 hey mate, your totally right, the horses behind him were all machines. the only poor horse in the race was France who was a G2 winnner himself. Im a huge HC fan, Alamshar was unreal,m Falbrav was considered to be one of the best horses in the world (destroyed 100 guineas winner Russian Rhythm)

Personally I think high chapparel's effort was probably the best because of the quality of horses he had behind him. Alamshar, islington, moon ballard and falbrav weren't mugs by any standards. And if I remember rightly, this race was his 1st in his 4 year old season

So this race usually attracts horses that have won or have been placed in a Group 1 race such as the Epsom Derby and Sandown's Eclipse Stakes. I remember Sea The Stars, the undisputed champion of 2009 winning that year and the 2011 renewal features at this stage between So You Think and Snow Fairy.
