I think the show would be more effective if it JUST focused on the Hobbits and not all the action and battles.

That is so cute. That's my favourite part of the books and the movie did a great job of it too, but this scene really sums up their loyalty and their need for one another on the journey.

@Ryanthe0man yeah, you have no idea how good it was they had to squeeze 3 films in 2 hours but they did it well with also a great sound track.

I saw this musical in London (2 years ago) and it was excellent. In fact, it's THE best show I've ever seen.
Coming from me, that's a high praise. I'm usually very critical about things and I had serious doubts about LOTR, too. So imagine my surprise when I found myself loving the show.
