I can't imagine my life without my Rhodesian Ridgeback, she is my heart. People who don't understand the love of an animal are truly missing one of the most precious relationships one can have in life. My husband and family view our dog as another child, too precious for words. Shame on those who make unkind comments.

How could we? I know I'm very bias when it comes to dogs ,but this was a respect thing too.

I am with you on that. Just hearing you read the story that it makes me very sad. I am a huge animal lover and each one has their own personalities. They are definitely family members for me. Ours act like toddlers which is cute but sometimes frustrating (but I still love them to death)
There are some people out there who just don't appreciate life.
