http://www.WebCookingClasses.com/blog If you want to see how goats cheese is made, go to a goat farm. If you go to a goat farm, you might as well go to one in the "upcountry" of Maui, Hawaii. Chef Todd Mohr continues his tour of Hawaiian sustainable food sources this week with a visit to the Surfing Goat Dairy Farm in Maui.

  • when i make goat cheese we usually wait a day or 2 after milking to get enough milk like 5 gallons then we put it in a big tub and add rennit liquid then it will curdle then cut it into cubes with a non steel knife and drain the whie out then press it in cheese cloth until no liquid comes out then we put it in a cheese press and press it for about 6 hours and it comes out like a block.

  • Yea but you don't have as far to drive. :-)
