Kevin Thacker died as a result of head injuries suffered while in police custody in Marshalltown, Iowa. He had been arrested for drunken driving. This is the raw video of his booking. Remember, the next showing of The CoverUp is Thursday, January 12, 2012, at 12:00 (noon) on Lifetime Movie Network (LMN). Enjoy the show! DRAMATIC BREAKING NEWS: January 10, 2012: Review and Analysis of the Thacker Case, by renowned forensic pathologist Dr. Cyril H. Wecht, M.D., J.D., available on line at TheCoverUp.net

  • @dorierosales : So far I don't these guys ever faced time. According to the film's ending, it said the FBI just ignored the case. Plain and simple, these dudes were and still are dirty! I JUST don't see a drunken man trying a 12 foot leap onto another building in the dark, only sustaining 1 major injury, and having a pack of cigarettes and or a lighter remain in his pocket during that leap.

  • @vhpcad33 i think its good for people to see this but then again sad for the family... ive also heard of a few suspicious deaths in the hands of the m-town PD

  • It is astonishing that there are people who seem to think this man's obviously drunken state somehow justifies what happened to him. I'm not aware of any jurisdiction in the world that provides for summary execution by beating as a penalty for drunk driving; guilt of one crime hasn't rendered a person an outlaw for hundreds of years.

  • k. eldred and d. templeton are fantastic people. they did there job and did it well. i had the privilege of working with these officers for many years. they took many drunks off the street and saved many lives. although i have not seen or spoken to them for years i support them 100 percent

  • WOW!!!! at 5;37 IT SOUNDS LIKE AN OFFICER SAYS SOMETHING THEN BANG A LOUD NOISE ON SOME KIND, WISH THIS VIDEO CAN BE CLEANED UP SOME SO WE CAN HEAR WHAT WAS SAID. tHIS TAPED INTTERVIEW WAS ACTUALLY ABOUT 1-MIN AND 30 SECONDS OF STOPPED TAPE THE MOVIE SAID OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT, SOUNDS LIKE HE STRUCK HIM AFTER HE SAID SOMETHING TO HIM.

  • This all makes sense when you realize this is the heart of Michele Bachmann country. Marshalltown is full of rednecks.

  • @WillCoachforFood Yea, the video is to prove the kid was way too drunk to have even come close to making the jump claimed by police. Yes he should've been punished for driving drunk and endangering others, but he didn't deserve to have his head beat in by the police.

  • @HamburglarXxX

I think all the black and hispanic officers might have something to say about that.

  • I watched the movie and I was also horrified. Horrified that this guy was out driving around drunk. How many lives were endangered by his behavior? I'm not sure of the purpose of this video, simply to prove how drunk this kid was?

  • I watched the movie and was horrified. The family lost their son. The cops never had to face justice. I believe this movie should have been made. There are good cops and there are bad cops, and when a cop breaks the law, he should be prosecuted. I am so sorry for the family of Kevin and his friends. Blessings.
