Luckily, I grew up in the 60s and 70s and had the pleasure of seeing him live in concert in Houston at the peak of his career. There will never be another like him. He was not only a great songwriter, but he had one of the most pure, beautiful voices I've ever heard. Blessings to Annie and their children.

This is such great footage of John showing just how involved he was with so many important issues facing our world...he cared so deeply about so many important things facing us, and our planet. What a loss for us all, that he is no longer with us.

You will find that about 90% of all the songs ever written are simple G-C-D chords - originated by Johann Pachelbel in the 1680's for "Canon in D" the only canon he ever wrote!!! (a canon is a leader/follower type of music - like "Row, row, row your boat"!!!) Of course there are exceptions like "Rocky Mountain High". But most - (Sunshine On My Shoulders, Let It Be, Bridge Over Troubled Waters) are simple canons!!!!! Through trial and error - maybe you'll write the next great hit! It happens!
