Good relations with Islam, the commitment to lay formation and the work for justice and peace, were the issues discussed by Pope Benedict XVI in his address to the bishops of Sudan, who are in Rome on their ad limina visit.
The Pope stressed the commitment to peace based on justice, accountability, and charity. He said efforts are needed to reduce ethnic tensions, corruption, and indifference.
