@GravityUpsideDown yea..its extremely like snow! when you get there you'd think you were surrounded by snow. when u put your toes in it, it's totally sand..and the air may be hot..so its a very interesting experience even in that one dimension

actually its just sand like the name.. white sands. but its cool as hell i went out there and it all just looked like mounds and mounds of cocaine. but yeh really pretty

Yep! You can bring your own sled, or you can rent them as you come in... either way, make sure to wax them with surf wax.

Not really... it's more of a novelty. It's desolate as hell out there... it's actually a very spiritual place, I think, whether you want it or not.
