Death of Good Feelings

Sitting in a lonely chair, I think and stare.
And what a thought had done for me,
A few short moments of joy and glee.

What had my conscience proved to say,
That all is game and childs play,
A softly coated spike of pain,
I chose to cut my foolish brain,
Left slashed and disconnected,
With this poison, now infected,
More than body but my mind,
Living dead I feel so blind,
Crushing me and never knowing,
Standing still and you keep going.

To fast is life when all is right,
I flipped the switch and gone was light,
The roots grow and blossom to release what is just,
Life is too hard, when it begins to rust,

At times we dash.
At times we crash.
And some will cry.
And some pass by.

My head is in the past yet Im truly in the present.
Why look down when love is pleasant.
The nature of resentment is quite unfair,
Finding new elements and all that is there.
Open the concealed and reveal whats within,
The weaves were woven from a small sewing pin,
Stream like breathe, let the heart sweetly guide,
The flow and flush of our ocean tide.
For I drift out at sea, to question my return,
Lost in a space of mental fire I burn,
Find me someday, counting the stars,
And look at my face and my skins scars,
I choose to observe all that I lack.
Out in the water, afloat on my back.
I desire to live my dreams someday.
If only life could go one way.
