good advice. I just yelled at my recently adopted older dog for poops in the house and locked him outside just now. It was EVERYWHERE! It felt awful to yell at him, and worse for him, so I jumped straight online to find out what I should be doing. Straight away I made it up to him, took him to where I'd placed the same poop outside and showered him with praise. Hopefully this in some way makes up for my unhinged behavior :( Thank you!

thanks for the help.. i've tried what you've siad and now everytime my puppy needs to go, she jump off the bedd and runs to the door...

this would've been great to know before i got my dog, before my uncle told me how to train it, and before i even wanted a dog. he poops fine now though unless my family forgets to let him out.

how else do you housetrain your dog without beating it? Dumb woman.
