Me and Rainy jumping oxers for the first time

well me and rainy were jumping oxers durring my lesson and my trainer was impressed so she wanted to record me, she jumped the oxer three times before we started to record it, but after she nocked the oxer the 5th time i jumped it then she refused so many times.

dont pump with your body to get them to go. your two point is waaay out of the tack, im surprised your horse isnt lame or something from all that bouncing.

everyone is new at riding at some point with a horse that has to put up with them learning. Remember that.

he is gorgeous i was learning how to jump oxers two septembers ago!! its amazing!

to stop the refusals i would carry a crop and steer his very diectly at the jump if he tries to go around squeeze your legs tightly and tighten the reins just enough to show him exactly where you going and flick the crop at his shoulders but dont hit him.

is he your horse or a leeson or a lease?

ok, i will try those next time, thnx, i now carry a crop so thats all good, rainy is a She, and i lease her because her owner is in africa atm

Verypretty horse but dont let him refuse the jump...keep driving him over it and you will get it easier! :D
