At his school in Kent, 11-year-old Liverpool FC super-fan Will (Perry Eggleton) gets a surprise visit from long-absent father Gareth (Damian Lewis). Better yet, dad's got a pair of tickets for the 2005 Champions League Final in Istanbul.

Father and son bond for the first time, but Gareth dies suddenly before they can depart on the sporting journey of a lifetime. Having lost both his parents, heartbroken Will decides to honour his father by taking off alone on the long journey eastwards. Along the way, he teams up with Yugoslavian former professional footballer Alek (Kristian Kiehling), who helps to fulfil his dream.

Filmed on location in England, Paris and Turkey, 'Will' features a star-making performance by charismatic Perry Eggleton. There are also cameo roles for Liverpool footballers Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, as well as legendary manager Kenny Dalglish.
