This was a 1975 UK Number 8 hit for Dana.
Music and a few rare images.

Written by Shepstone & Dibbens.

Hi, hello how are you?
I haven't been here, well, it must be years
The place is not the same somehow
there's a jukebox playing louder now, that wasn't here then

Tell me by the way, does he still look just the same?
And does he still remember me?
And if you see him won't you

Please tell him that I said hello
and that everything has turned out fine
Give him my love and wish him well
Don't let him know you saw me crying
Tell him I won't be back again
it was chance that made me pass this way
Just say I came in for a while and lived again our yesterdays

Well, so long, I'll see you
You know the world gets smaller every day
And now I must be leaving
and so the next time that you see him

Please tell him that I said hello
and that everything has turned out fine
Give him my love and wish him well
Oh don't let him know you saw me crying
Tell him I won't be back again
it was chance that made me pass this way
Just say I came in for a while and lived again our yesterdays

Please tell him that I said hello
and that everything .....

  • who or what are you? I'm socially liberal and fiscally conservative-not a labour supporter and I had the option to vote for Dana in MY country's presidential election- nice woman but VERY FUCKING SOCIALLY CONSERVATIVE-is that clear to you????? You don't like what I think, do us all a favour and hold your breath for 20 minutes. Gobshite.

  • @cuntzillamcgonigle Typical Labour point of view: I am right (!) and anyone, who thinks els than me, is wrong!.

Well, you're wrong! Communism didn't make it and labour goes the same way!!

  • @Guillaume2606 extremely right wing views- beautiful voice, bad politics

  • @cuntzillamcgonigle please translate!!

  • @Guillaume2606 "conservative" an in the pope is right, gays are bad, divorce is wrong....

  • @cuntzillamcgonigle Fortunately, she is clever enough not turn into a stupid labour bitch

  • Pity she turned into a crazy conservative bitch-should have stuck to the singing.

  • I have been a Dana fan since i heard her in 1970, i wasnt allow to watch the Erovision sing contest i was 7 years old, and she was my model on which i based my singing voice on.

I met her 11 years later,my twin surprised me and i went backstage, i class it as 1 of my best days in my life.

Dana was so shy and surprised at my knowledge of her music etc.

i wish her my best wishes and love

    Hilary Mellor.

  • In Dec 1970 ,I was gtr player,Orchestra with Dana & Freddie Garrity (Dreamers Fame) in X'mas Pantomime..She was the most wonderful Snow White, with a thrilling voice & charming way about her.Freddie was a comical Buttons. She was so quiet, &sweeter in real life,& the most gracious &gentle person I had ever met.I was Fred's Lead gtr,We also did the '71,X'mas Panto-she was such a fun person,a lovely&very witty sense of humour.I met her by chance,on Isle'O'Wight-2010,&still as gracious as ever.LOL
