You know if you believe in Satan you are steeped in Christianity. Before I get a bunch of flack from followers of LaVey (Church of Satan). I've read his book, seen and read almost every interview and realize he has a whole different take on that slant. All these terms Devil (derived from the Gaelic word Diabhal which was in use post Christian conversion), Lucifer (is an Old Testament term that some believe is different from the devil) and Satan (from a Hebrew word) are of Judeo-Christian origin.

Look, despite the endless debates about God's existence, we all know there is someone up there and down below as well (not literally down below). These things are of course not at all relevant to one's real life, but if you to choose to experiment with the other side...you are definitely in for a surprise.

No matter really as we operate off the Hebrew derivation in which the Old Testament was written. All those stories go back in many direction in many cultures. No matter really. We know LaVey's libertarian philosophy draws from various sources, but his prime target was Christians. I despise most Christians too. Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.
