"Joshua Davis is certainly one of the highest profile digital artist to emerge in the last decade. Using what he calls generative composition machines, Joshua creates beautifully intricate images with a brash chaotic nature. There is something fitting of an artist who can be described with the same words as you would describe his art -- Please welcome from New York, the always brash and chaotic, Joshua Davis."

  • Love his work! I have some notebooks that were designed by him.

  • star13star

  • @lmrose1 true. im sure retepvosnul has never attempted to program anything.

  • JOSH

  • OFFF 2009 HE WAS GREAT

  • Nah not lazy, lots of work involved in the setting up parameters mate and developing an aesthetic. The computer doesnt make any old image you know, it creates a image based around the particular set of rules it is programmed with- its not a magic that conjures up a image out of blue. It cant create something outside the programmed rules. Word of advice retepvosnul; dont make outlandish statements without having any understanding of what youre looking at.

  • How is this not advert for being lazy ? Proof there has been put work into that mediocre drivel before you claim you have. What a ton or rubbish..

  • Nice video..Great point at the end on having to work and work and work till you are really happy with your work.

  • you have always had the option to use actionscript with FLASH... it is the most effective way to use the program.

  • It's not really an "extension."

It's done by right the functionality with ActionScript, Flash's programming language.
