Chris Knight has a way of taking your mind and painting a picture, to show us all the seldom seen point of view! He is bigger to me than any songwriter ive ever heard in my life and i appreciate his efforts and for always being so gun barrel straight with his words! Ive talked with Chris on the phone a few years back when i was working at a local radio station! He is a great guy very genuine and down to earth! This is my favorite song by him!

Damn I love this song, I'm from West Virginia and I can understand this song, sorta seems the story of some peoples lives around here, that's not mine though I want better for myself but I'll never forget my roots or my heritage.

One of my favorite songs from my favorite singer/songwriter. I think the stripped down live solo versions of this song are much better than the published track on Heart Of Stone...but thats just my opinion.
