8. Dry 'em off afterward w/ a towel.
9. Make it infrequent.
Not sure where you got all this misinformation from SaraSidleXShego. It's perfectly safe to wash your cats as long as you're using the correct shampoo. It's more an issue of pH balance then anything. Bathing them too often can wash away the healthy oils in their skins though, so do keep that in mind.

you should never wash the head, be very careful with the ears, they get infected real easily
