I fell in love with Anita's voice before I even knew who she was. She could have easily been a superstar but she put her family ahead of her career, you have to admire that even though we as fans lost out. She really was a major impact to country music, she was a major sessions musician and background singer. Her voice still send chills down my spine. I love you Anita, you'll always live in memory.

I came across Anita's songs by chance only a couple of years ago - 'Ring of Fire' was the song I was looking to download, and, stunned to find quite so many versions, set about listening to all of them. Of course, Anita's version won hands down! Do wish I could track down an actual live performance of her singing 'Ring of Fire' but it seems beyond my internet capabilities!
