The NIV comment about the name of God and their millions invested was on the NIV web site. I actualy read it as i was researching that version online

I post often on C.A.R.M. I posted a similar refutation to the JWs there. A Spanish Friar invented the word " jehovah " around 1280 Ramon Marti, he took form the YHWH as it is supposed to be an easy way to pronounce " YHWH " the name Adonai refers to the Word,the LORD,G-d.
In 1527 an Italian Monk used the word " jehovah " for the first time in the RCC text, he Pietro Galatino

With regards to the correct pronunciation of the Divine name, one thing that I find interesting is that for some reason God did not see a need to preserve it exactly, without question. We know that He very well could have. What name did He preserve exactly, with all the letters? The name of JESUS, or Yeshua! For nearly 2000 yrs that name has been preserved above all other names. I wonder why? ; ) No one can even come to the Father without knowing the NAME of JESUS! John 14:6, Phil 2:9-11
